A little trip to Centre Parcs

A few weeks back me, my mum and brother took a very much needed little break away to Centre Parcs in Longleat Forest.  After a few not so great weeks at home and on recommendation from a friend, we booked up a last minute lodge for a really good price.

I can honestly say it was a lovely lovely trip! The site itself is pretty big, so we hired out some bikes (my mum+a bike=pretty hilarious) and got cycling. Let's just say our legs got a really good workout! We stayed in one of their Executive Suites, as the cost of upgrading actually worked out cheaper than the standard 'Woodland Lodge'. The accommodation came with some additional touches, such as a sauna room, a hot tub style bath and en suites for each bedroom.

Something I would bear in mind if you're thinking of staying at Centre Parcs is that the activities can be pretty expensive. Apart from the swimming which is free, you do have to pay for most of the activities,  I would definitely suggest having a little look at what's on offer before hand and make a note of the things you would like to book up. There are several restaurant on site such as Strada, Cafe Rouge and Hucks American Diner which we ate in on our last night. We did bring food with us for the majority of our stay and I would highly recommend doing so if you're looking to save the pennies!

If a few days away in the countryside is your kinda thing, Centre Parcs is a great place to book for a short break-We are already planning a trip back in the Summer!

  2. The Longleat Centre Parcs is my favourite; a group of us go every year. We usually go to Longleat for the day as check in isn’t until about 3pm. You just completely forget about the “real world” when you’re in the middle of a forest lol.
